I was born in Naples in 1991. In 2019 I specialized in Printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples; during the same year, thanks to a scholarship, I attended the annual specialization class at Fondazione Il Bisonte – International School for the Study of Graphic Art, in Florence. Since 2016 I participate in different national and international collective exhibitions. In 2020 I had the chance to take part to an Artist Residence to learn the less toxic printmaking techniques, at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, in Venice.
At the moment I live and work as a teacher in Florence.
Printmaking techinques challenge me to search for a balance between control and chaos. My aim is to abandon the illusion of the project’s incontrovertibility, letting the work be other than what it is asked of it.
Being interested in the narrative of images, I chose to structure my language in such a way that it aims at the ostentation of a lapsus. The core of an image (or a story) is in the space left empty by forgetfulness, by the omission or replacement of a message. Through indeterminacy, the work recedes, leaving room for the possibility of an encounter.
